Along the Appian Way

Rome, Italy

The Appia Antica is the oldest and most famous road built by the ancient Romans -the main route to Greece from Rome. Ristorante Cecilia Metella, a popular family-style Roman Trattoria- along the infamous fairway- was selected by the client for its terrific casual fare and its wonderful terrace , complete with an overhead ivy canopy- very vineyard-like.
Quite honestly, it was a decor nightmare! This place needed help! We custom made linens, runners, and chair pads to enhance our "lemon" theme. Lemons were suspended everywhere- the perfect "pop" to the ivy canopy and loads of hanging votive candlelight.
