Prior to opening the original Stoneblossom on the east side of Providence in 1995, Joyce was the young owner of the wildly successful retail store Blue Angel on Thayer Street in the 80's. It was there that her love of beautiful things was entertained and her exceptional sense of style was first recognized. Deciding to take a break from retail, she went on to study floral design under the renowned New York designer Mary Fitzgerald, where she fell in love with the floral industry. Her rare talent for creating elegance and beauty applied itself well to floral design and her services were soon in high demand among New York and Rhode Island socialites. Though Joyce's client list has since gone international, her sense of style and grace has remained as genuine as the day she went into business.
