Anyway, I started asking a lot of questions, and reading. After a while I started getting into the structure of the flower itself and its limits. I think I wanted to simplify things for myself. I don't know if my simplifications are the truth, but it works. I mean, I really started having fun designing them, and creating my own masterpieces. I would put these crazy-looking floral pieces in the retail coolers and no one would buy them.
I would get really angry and I always thought "People in this town are so boring, they have no taste!" Cyrus thought maybe it was a good idea to start with silk and dyed arrangements. It was easier to see what colors would go with what, and what textures and shapes would work together. But especially because I could take them home and work on them, so I could take my time.
