A Refined Garden Wedding at Home
On a gorgeous, sunny October afternoon, M+A tied the knot at a private family home in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Their celebration seamlessly blended the natural beauty of the property with deeply personal touches that truly reflected their unique love story. Working alongside Mary Kate Morrisey of MK Your Dream Day, we curated an earthy, refined design plan that highlighted the things that were most important to the couple; their families, their pets, and their love of horses.
The ceremony took place in the paddock, a place held near & dear to the bride’s heart. We elevated the ceremony site with floral details that softened the fencing and grounded the space with an organic garden crest that enveloped the couple in fragrant blooms as they exchanged vows. As guests arrived, they were welcomed by the family horses. The family pup Macy even made an appearance, adorned with a lush floral collar! This attention to detail was a sweet, heartfelt nod to how important family is, both two-legged and four-legged alike.
The reception took place under a sailcloth tent that was designed to feel like an extension of the garden. As guests found their seats from cocktail hour, they were welcomed by a dramatic floral entryway composed of delphinium, hydrangea, and garden roses in hues of blue and white. Inside the tent, four lush trees filled the space with height and life, anchoring the design while letting the autumn light filter through. Below, the tablescapes were designed with refined elegance. Artisanal farm tables played host to lush, textural arrangements that effortlessly melded with the property. Every detail was curated to feel organic and effortless; vignettes of wildflowers in bud vases and warm, twinkling candlelight created an intimate dinner party atmosphere that invited conversation, connection, and celebration.
From the first planning conversations to the last light of the evening, every element of the celebration felt meaningful and full of intention. M + A’s wedding was a heartfelt tribute to love, and the beauty of home. Working together, we felt just like family, and we were so honored to be able to bring the couple’s perfect day to life.
